Find your size

Size is important. Every woman's body is different, and finding the pad that fits yours is the best way to help avoid leaks altogether. We make pads in different lengths and widths so that you can find the one that's just right for you. Your pad should comfortably cover the width of your panties. This typically means that small sizes might wear a slender or thin pad, mediums may want to try a regular, and larger sizes might go for a maximum protection product. Pads with wings are the perfect way to help eliminate potential side leaks. The wings should wrap around the side of your panties and come together on the other side. This is a great way to tell if your pad is the right width for you. You'll also want to make sure that the pad is long enough from front to back. If you are having leaks in either of these places, you might want to try a long length pad or simply try repositioning the pad in your panties. But remember, these are just guidelines. Try a few different pads to find the one that works best for you.

Go with the flow

Your flow is unique to you. And it probably changes over the course of your period. To get the best level of protection you can, you might want to consider using pads with different absorbencies on the different days of your period. You may only need a regular for the first two days but want to switch to a maximum protection during the next two days for more absorbency. And it, of course, depends on how often you change your pad.

Scheduling is everything

If you are used to changing your pad every two hours but you are going to be somewhere that won't allow you to change it for four, you'll probably want to use a higher absorbency pad than you're used to for the occasion. Sticking to your pad schedule is important in preventing leaks. Some women prefer to change their pad often because it helps them to feel fresh. Others only like to change it a few times a day because they have a lot going on. Whatever your M.O. is, find a pad with the absorbency to handle your flow in between changes, and then try to stick to your pad schedule the best that you can.

Stick it to ‘em

A pad that moves around doesn't offer much protection. That's why Always pads have two different types of glue running from one end to the other so that your pad stays right where you put it. But there are some things you can do to help make sure you stay covered. Wear panties that fit close to your body so that you don't have gaps between you and your pad. And if your pad has a habit of moving about, try one of our pads with wings. Wings wrap around the sides of your panties to help prevent leaks and hold your pad in place.
